Model 201

The Model 201 detector is a time-programmable, variable wavelength UV/Vis detector.  It operates in single-wavelength mode in either the UV range or the visible range.

High sensitivity for demanding applications

Programmable wavelength capability with a wide absorbance range from 0.0005 to 3.0 AUFS gives you optimum selectivity and high sensitivity.

Reduce setup time

Easy to program and operate, the front-panel display guides you through the setup of time-based programs, run parameters, and output settings.

Easy access and maintenance

Pre-aligned lamps and flow cell, easily accessible, assure quick maintenance and easy replacement of parts.

Complete line of flow cells

Standard Type 316 stainless steel; optional chemically inert, metal-free Kel-F®*; and optional micro flow cells are available for optimal detection.  Cells are also available for CE and high-pressure applications.

Model 525

The Model 525 is a full-featured dual-wavelength programmable detector that utilizes the same optical design as the Model 201.  In addition, the Model 525 offers spectral scanning, multiple method file storage, queue feature for file linking, and more.

Enhanced detection ability with Model 525

By simultaneously monitoring two wavelengths, you increase detection capability for different compound types.  To check purity, the detector can be used to monitor absorbance at one wavelength and simultaneously ratio or subtract the absorbance value at another wavelength.

More than just a detector, the Model 525 is also a spectrophotometer

When separating unknown compounds, use the Model 525 scan feature to monitor a wavelength range.  Identify and zero in on important peaks and scan the eluting compound for its spectral characteristics.  The Model 525 can store as many as 10 spectra from a single run!  This feature simplifies your method development.

Wide variety of flow cell options

A wide variety of cell options is available for all applications. Analytical, micro, semi-prep, prep, and inert/bio flow cells are offered for LC. The high pressure (7000 psi) flow cell is ideal for SFC and LC-MS. An on-column cell for CE and SFC uses a ball lens to focus the light beam for increased sensitivity. A cuvette holder converts the detector into a spectrophotometer and makes fixed wavelength and scanning absorbance measurements accurate and reliable. All flow cells are pre-aligned for fast, simple installation and exchange.
