The RI-2000L Differential Refractive Index Detector series offers the sensitivity, stability and reproducibility required for optimum RI detection. The thermally shielded optics with a countercurrent heat exchanger and with its user programmable temperature control results in an extremely stable baseline and an optimal Signal/Noise ratio.

The RI-2000L provides autopurge and autozero capabilities, as well as RS232 communication to acquire data directly without using any external signal interface. RI-2000L detectors are available for analytical, micro, preparative and analytical/preparative mode.

The pictures below show comparison chromatograms of Polystyrene samples in THF measured with an RI-2000L/Waters 2410 and RI-2000L/Shodex RI-71 at a flow rate of 1 mL/min. The Polystyrene standards were injected on two Jordi DVB columns 500Å (500 x 10 mm I.D.).

Optional Software:

EZChrom SEC/GPC Option: Provides calibration and results reporting for GPC (Gel Permeation Chromatography) / SEC (Size Exclusion Chromatography). Narrow Range and Universal Calibration types are supported.

Summary Report: Includes molecular weight distribution calculated values (Weight Average, Number

Average, Z Average, Z+1 Average, Viscosity Average molecular weights and Polydispersity index).

Slice Report: Includes elution time/volume, area, molecular weight, % area and cumulative area for each time slice.

Chromatograms: Print with annotation for the points of the various molecular weight average results (Mw, Mn, Mz, etc.) and integral line for the cumulative area percent.

Calibration Curve Display: Print with log molecular weight vs. time or volume, r² values showing goodness of fit to the curve, and calibration points that you can graphically select or deselect.

The progressive electronic and mechanical design result in a detector with exceptional sensitivity, ultra-low noise level, the highest degree of baseline stability, and lowest service.

The fully digital electronic design facilitates new features not available in other refractive index detectors. The LabIndex is not only a detector, it is also an analog-to-digital interface for other detectors. This unit can be used as a master system for LC systems.

The LabIndex 2000L detector includes a 4-line display for system information, internal memory for buffering chromatographic data, and a digital interface.
