The Series 2500 Protein LC System, built around the Series 2500
integrated quaternary low-pressure mixing pump, is a compact HPLC
package that gives you the capability to perform protein separations and
routine analytical chromatography applications for a fraction of the
cost of other systems.
The Model V520 UV/VIS detector gives you the sensitivity and flexibility
today’s separations require. The fixed wavelength 254/280nm detector is
an economical option. The system is available with Stainless steel or
PEEK fluid paths. The Series 2500 Gradient System can be operated in
stand-alone mode or through PC software. The Series 2500 pump stores up
to 10 methods and allows interfacing with autosamplers and data systems
for system automation.
Data collection can be achieved by adding a chart recorder or PeakSimple
data acquisition software.
The Series 2500 pump
can store up to ten gradient methods. Each method may be up to 50 steps
long with a total run time of 999.99 minutes. Each step can be
programmed with the solvent composition, flow rate, and external events
to provide extended HPLC system control and automation capability.
Methods may be automatically repeated up to 99 times, and linked to
occur in a user-programmed sequence. The dual piston 12mL pump in the
Model 2500 provides compact and fully integrated modern stepper motor
technology combined with years of industry experience to create a high
performance system at an exceptional value.
Pump performance is
optimized with a vacuum degasser. For preparative applications where
high flow rates are required, order the 100 mL version of the Model 2500
pump.
PeakSimple Data Acquisition

with
Windows applications (Excel,
Word).
UV-Vis Detector
The Model
V520 is one of the most versatile, reliable, and sensitive UV-Vis
absorbance monitors available. The V520 uses state-of-the-art photodiode
design with complementary high-photon throughput optics. With a variety
of sample cell designs, this detector is capable of meeting virtually
every application requirement in the laboratory.
-
The V520
Variable UV-Vis detector is capable of working from 190 to 400 nm with
optical range extension into the NIR (940 nm) with broad bandpass,
using only the D2 lamp.
-
The V520
offers one of the lowest noise and drift specifications in the
industry.
-
The V520
can be modified in the field without special alignment tools to
accommodate many different sample cells. Available sample cells
include analytical, microbore and preparative. For preparative protein
separations, use either the Prep variable path length (0-4 mm) flow
cell or the fixed pathlength (1 mm) cell.
-
An
economical detector option is the fixed wavelength 254/280nm Model
F110 detector. The same flow cell options are available with this
version.
Add an autosampler and fraction collector for automation
Variable-volume Autosampler
The
variable-volume autosampler provides outstanding performance and maximum
flexibility in a variable-volume, LC sample processing system. The
standard unit provides 120-vial capacity, multiple injection modes,
random vial access, reuse of calibration standards, and nonvolatile
storage of 4 complete methods.
Inert Autosampler
The inert
autosampler provides all the features of the variable-volume autosampler,
but in a metal-free, inert version. This autosampler is ideally suited
for biological applications requiring metalfree operation or
applications that use corrosive solvents or buffers.
FC Jr. Fraction Collector
FC Jr. holds microcentrifuge tubes to 250 mL Erlenmeyers, and easily
stretches to hold tubes up to 150 mm tall. FC Jr. gives you great
capacity in minimal space. FC racks are available for almost any tube or
vial, and even 96-well microplates. When you need increased amounts of
purified product, FC Jr. lets you collect unlimited volumes in off-deck
containers with a funnel rack.
Standard Features of FC Jr.
-
Collect peaks of interest using any combination of slope, level, and
time windows.
-
Optional interface cable for connection to detector – used for
slope/level sensing, event marking, start and advance inputs.
-
Collect uniform fractions by time, drop count, or pumped volume.
