GPC Sample Clean-up System Model SCS-200

| The
determination of trace levels of priority pollutants
(PCB, PAH, and pesticides) in complex enviromental and
food samples requires analyte purification and
concentration. It is necessary to remove high molecular
weight interferences such as lipids, polymer and pigments
from the sample before analyzing it by GC, GC/MS, or
HPLC. This process is known as sample clean-up, and the
most commonly used method is gel permeation
chromatography (GPC). SSI presents a unique solution for sample clean-up in the compact SCS-200 system. The system includes an isocratic pump, injector with preparative sample loop, GPC column, and fraction collector, which ensures that required pollutant fraction is collected according to a preset collection time. The process is fully automated and is controlled by a System Control Unit (SCU) keypad or by standard RS-232 communication via PC. Overpressure protection is ensured by a back-pressure regulator.
