State College/University Park Airport (airport code SCE) is served by United, Delta, Northwest, and USAirways via connections from Washington Dulles, Cincinnati, Detroit, and Philadelphia.

Driving directions:

Directions from University Park Airport:

  1. Leave the airport parking lot and turn left onto Fox Hill Road.

  2. Follow Fox Hill Road for several miles until you come to a traffic light.  The football stadium will be directly ahead of you.

  3. Turn right at the light onto Park Avenue.

  4. Follow to the 5th traffic light (Atherton Street) and get in the left lane.

  5. Turn left onto Atherton Street.

  6. Go to the second traffic light (College Avenue).  There will be an Arby's straight ahead of you.

  7. Turn right onto College Avenue (Route 26).

  8. Follow for approx. 2 miles. At the second traffic light, turn right onto Science Park Road.

  9. SSI is located approx. 1 mile ahead on the right.  There is a sign in the front lawn.

Directions to SSI from New York City:

  1. Take Interstate Route 80 West in Pennsylvania to Exit 161 (Bellefonte).  This takes about 4.5 hours.

  2. Follow PA 26 South to US 220 South.

  3. Take the Valley Vista Drive/Park Forest exit.

  4. At the bottom of the ramp, go straight through at the traffic light onto Valley Vista Drive.  Pass Sheetz on the left.

  5. At four-way Stop intersection (Circleville Rd.), go straight.  This becomes Science Park Rd.

  6. SSI & SSI are in the building on the left, about 1 mile ahead.  There is a sign in the front lawn.

Directions to Holiday Inn Express from New York City

  1. Take Interstate Route 80 West in Pennsylvania to Exit 161 (Bellefonte).  This takes about 4.5 hours.

  2. Follow PA 26 South to US 220 South.

  3. Take the Toftrees/Woodycrest exit.

  4. Turn left off the exit at the light.

  5. Go to the second light and turn left for the Holiday Inn.

Directions to SSI from Harrisburg:

  1. Take US-322 West to STATE COLLEGE/LEWISTOWN coming either east or west on 81 near the Susquehanna River bridge north of the city.

  2. Take the Valley Vista/Park Forest exit off Rt. 322, which is the last exit on your right.  (Do NOT take “Business Rt 322” exit).

  3. At the bottom of the ramp, go straight through at the traffic light onto Valley Vista Drive.  Pass Sheetz Plaza on the left.

  4. At four-way Stop intersection (Circleville Rd.), go straight.  This becomes Science Park Rd.  SSI & SSI is in the building on the left, about 1 mile ahead.  There is a sign in the front lawn.

Directions to SSI from Route 80 East:

  1. Take Bellefonte Exit (Old #24) from Route 80 to 220 South

  2. Take Valley Vista/Park Forest exit (about 20 minutes’ drive).

  3. At the bottom of the ramp, go straight through at the traffic light onto Valley Vista Drive.  Pass Sheetz on the left.

  4. At four-way Stop intersection (Circleville Rd.), go straight.  This becomes Science Park Rd.

  5. Scientific Systems is in the building on the left, about 1 mile ahead.  There is a sign in the front lawn.

Directions to our office from the Holiday Inn Express:

  1. Leave hotel parking lot and turn right at the light.

  2. Go straight through the next light; turn left onto Rt. 220 South.

  3. Take the next (Valley Vista Drive/Park Forest) exit.

  4. At the bottom of the ramp, go straight through at the traffic light onto Valley Vista Drive.  Pass Sheetz on the left.

  5. At four-way Stop intersection (Circleville Rd.), go straight.  This becomes Science Park Rd.

Directions from SSI to Route 80:

  1. Turn right out of the parking lot onto Science Park Road.

  2. At intersection, continue straight (road becomes Valley Vista)

  3. At light, continue straight onto Rt. 220 North

  4. Follow signs to Route 80

Directions to SSI from Restek:

  1. Leave Restek parking lot; turn right onto Benner Circle.

  2. At stop sign, turn left onto Rt. 150 (Benner Pike).

  3. Take Rt. 220 South toward State College

  4. Take Valley Vista exit (about 15 minutes’ drive).

  5. At the bottom of the ramp, go straight through at the traffic light onto Valley Vista Drive.  Pass Sheetz on the left.

  6. At four-way intersection (Circleville Rd.), go straight.  This becomes Science Park Rd.

  7. SSI/ SSI is in the building on the left, about 1 mile ahead.  There is a sign in the front lawn.

It takes approx. 30 minutes to reach SSI from Restek.

Directions to SSI from Supelco:

  1. Turn right from Supelco visitors parking onto Harrison Rd.

  2. Take an almost immediate left turn onto Route 220 South.

  3. Take Valley Vista exit (about 15 minutes’ drive).

  4. At the bottom of the ramp, go straight through at the traffic light onto Valley Vista Drive.  Pass Sheetz on the left.

  5. At four-way intersection (Circleville Rd.), go straight.  This becomes Science Park Rd.

  6. SSI/ SSI is in the building on the left, about 1 mile ahead.  There is a sign in the front lawn.

Directions to the Days Inn Hotel from Interstate Route 80:

  1. Take Exit #24 from Route 80 onto Route 26 West

  2. Stay on Route 26 to State College (approx. 12 miles)

  3. Drive through downtown State College on Route 26 (College Avenue)

  4. Turn left onto Pugh Street (at the traffic light)

  5. Cross Beaver Avenue (1 block)

  6. The Days Inn is on the right.

Directions to Days Inn Penn State from Pittsburgh:

  1. Follow Route 22 to Duncansville, Route 220, bypassing downtown Altoona and Tyrone, through Port Matilda.

  2. Take Route 322 East to State College.

  3. Take US 322 East Bypass to the Downtown State College exit.

  4. As you come off the exit, take a left at the traffic light onto College Avenue.

  5. Follow College Avenue to Pugh Street.

  6. Turn left onto Pugh Street.

  7. Cross over Beaver Avenue.  Days Inn is straight ahead on the right.

Directions to SSI from the Days Inn:

  1. As you leave the Days Inn parking lot, turn left onto Pugh Street.

  2. Cross over Beaver Avenue to the next light.

  3. Turn left onto College Avenue (Route 26).

  4. Continue for several blocks and cross Atherton St., continuing on Route 26.

  5. At the second traffic light (approx. 2 miles), turn right onto Science Park Road.

  6. SSI is located approx. 1 mile ahead on the right.  There is a sign in the front lawn.
